Okay, I've got a few weeks obviously, but I'm getting excited about the fall season anyway.

Things which make me giddy with anticipation:

1. The opening episodes of "House". Have you seen the promo? Have you? It will be fantastically entertaining. And dude, Kal Penn! [Rounding out his "acceptable roles for an Indian actor" resume quite nicely [Seriously, he's been a cool slacker, a disaffected young man whose parents immigrated to the States, a henchman, and now a doctor]].

2. "Heroes". Dude, HEROES. The amount of impatience I have for the start of the season is kind of unholy. I blame the writers, who left us with the Petrelli brothers...somewhere. And I blame promo pictures, which give us Peter apparently locked in a room with short hair [Bye, emo hair! Won't miss you much!].

Things which I need to catch up on so that I may be giddy with anticipation.

1. "NCIS". I still have finished season three because I really don't want to see the last couple of episodes. I have no doubt they will make me sad. Of course, if I get through the last two of season three, I can start on season four, and then the squee for season five would begin.

2. "Doctor Who". It's not technically fall launch, but I'll take it. I have not watched the last three episodes of series three for much the same reason I have not watched the last two of season three of "NCIS". I do not need a crying jag, and as I've cried at the end of every series of "Doctor Who" since I started watching with Nine, I don't think my record will change.

3. "Top Gear". Which is actually a fall release. Word has it there's lots of revisiting in regards to challenges, so it may not be a great series, but it's Top Gear. It's gonna really have to try hard to suck out loud.

Non-television things which make me giddy with anticipation:

1. Green Arrow/Black Canary comic. Because Ollie, Connor, Mia and Diana in a comic together full-time is good times.

2. #5 and #6 of "Green Arrow: Year One". Because 1-4 have been highly entertaining thus far.

3. The rest of Joss Whedon's run on "Astonishing X-Men". Issue #22 ended spoilers, massive ), and now I'm pretty much biting my nails for the last two issues. Damned bi-monthly print.

4. "The Boys". Because it's just made of complete awesome. Still can't imagine why DC got their shorts in a bunch. ::looks innocent::

And tell me, dear flist, what's got you jumping for the fall season?

My darling fiance just read "Watchmen" in two days. And now he's all giddy for me to read it. This calls for a celebration.

Of sex.
