Now that's a nice picture.

It's about the deletion of journals because a bunch of people are getting their shorts in a twist and getting the lj-team all riled and reactionary.

I really hate when free speech gets policed. You either believe in it and protect, or you don't. And if you don't and start sparking first amendment as the reason behind your censorship, you can go straight to hell, you know?

When did parenting become an optional addition to having kids? You know what my parents did when something offensive came on? They changed the fucking channel. You know what my parents did when I surfed the interenet when I was younger? They peeked over my shoulder occasionally. How dare they be so uppity as to think they had a say.

Anyone trying to protect "the children" is never doing it for parenting. They're doing it because it's an easy, all-bases-covered safe spot to be a censoring asshole. But they can get away with saying that *someone* must watch out for the interests of those poor little tykes whose parents are so terribly *neglectful* that they can't watch their own kids on the evil interwebs. Nevermind that those who scream the loudest about the terrible deeds on the internets will scream the loudest about how oppressed they are when people start pointing out their idiocy.
